What is Pokemon Pokopia?
Pokemon Pokopia is a life simulation and building game co-developed by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo's Omega Force, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. Released on March 5, 2026, it has become the highest-rated Pokemon game on Metacritic with a score of 90.
You play as a Ditto that transforms to imitate a human in a post-apocalyptic Kanto region. After finding its trainer's old Pokedex, Ditto assumes human form and meets Professor Tangrowth, who tasks you with rehabilitating the broken world by building habitats, attracting Pokemon, and restoring the environment.
The game features 303 Pokemon from all 9 generations, a deep building system with block-by-block construction, cooking with 596 recipes, 32 specialties that Pokemon use to help you, and multiplayer through Cloud Islands and Palette Town.
